Happy Anniversary!

One year ago today, we closed on our house and started new lives in our small-town Midwestern suburb.

Today I spent a lovely morning on our little town square having breakfast and shopping with a wonderful group of ladies from our small group at church.  Our kids spent the day playing with their cousins.  My wonderful brother and sister in law gave me a much needed break this afternoon and took the older girls to the pool...

What has in the past taken several years to accomplish has happened in one short year: I feel settled and at home.  What a wonderful feeling!

and joyful little girls that I have ever known.

We are so blessed to be your family!  We love you, little one!

If anyone has been wondering where I am, I can almost guarantee that at any given moment I am laying on my couch.  When I was pregnant with Sevvy, I didn't blog for my entire first trimester because I just don't have much to say when I'm feeling this icky and I certainly don't want to post any pictures that would show what a wreck my house is!  Ah pride, my old friend...

Sunny's 3rd birthday is tomorrow, so I'll put a post together in honor of her big day.  Not sure if it will be here within the next week, but at some point it will appear.  :)

I hope that all of you are leading much more productive lives than I am at the moment!

A new addition...

... to the buzzmeo family...

...will be arriving just in time for Christmas this year.

Overheard...

...tonight while the cousins were here playing:

"Let's have a dance party!"

"Yeah!"

"Let's use Jesus songs!"

"Well... I actually want rock and roll songs."

Moments later...

"Aunt Meo, do you have any rock and roll Jesus cd's that we could listen to?"

Sparkle on immunology...

Buzz:  What do you want in your lunch today?  Do you want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?

Sparkle:  No.

Buzz:  Why not, are you getting tired of them?

Sparkle:  Well, I looked at Hannah's peanut butter and jelly sandwich yesterday and I sneezed, so I think I'm allergic.  I can't have any more peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...

Gotta give her points for creativity!

Frog

They say they've found a pet...

...and named him "Buddy".

They even made him a habitat fortress to live in:

Can you hear him screaming?

(Not literally, of course.  Definitely screaming on the inside though.  I'd be willing to bet money on that.)

These beautiful children are likely to (accidentally, yet literally) love you to pieces.

Said Sparkle...

in a singsong voice after I scolded her for getting out of bed multiple times:

"I know how to make you frust-rat-ed!"
