Sevvy's first time...

...sitting in grass:
And, complements of me, her first scrape.  Right between her eyes.  Because I turned and yelled for the kids to get out of the street and it startled her and she fell over... right onto the brick planter edge that I had put her too close to.  Nice.  The few photos that I did get before she was crying hysterically were over-exposed.  Big bummer.  So sorry, Sevvy!

Then I attempted to take some pictures of all my girls in the beautiful evening light.  They were less than cooperative...
...which actually made for some cute pictures.
Love...
my...
girls!

Spring break - Part 2

We ladies spent the middle of our week soaking up as much time with our friends as possible.  Buzz spent as much time skiing as possible... I just don't have any photos of that (if any of you guys do, please email me some of your photos!).  Here's a peek into our week:
And... just for the record, someone likes my hats just fine!
Thanks to everyone who took time out of their week to spend with us!

Spring break - Part 1

We were so excited to get to spend our spring vacation in the mountains of Utah earlier this month!

On the way there we stopped in Nebraska to see an old friend from nursing school.  We hadn't seen each other since Sparkle was two months old.  It was so good to catch up with you and your family, Riley!  Thanks again for your hospitality!
Day one was a double birthday pool-party for Sparkle and one of her dearest friends.  It was so good to kick off our week by seeing everyone that we had been missing over the past months since we moved!  Here are some of my shots from the day.  Mostly I stayed in the baby pool, so if you were in the big pool, you won't be seeing much of yourself here.  :)
Thanks to Mike for getting this group shot.  Looking at it, I can't believe we had this many little kids at the pool.  Luckily all families came complete with both parents.  :)
After the pool closed, we headed back to our friend's house to continue the festivities.  Here are the beautiful birthday girls:
And my first glimpse into the eyes of our newest little friend...
Thanks to everyone who came and made the day such fun!
You were worth all the time in the car to get there.  ;)

Six

How can it be...
...that another year has gone by...
...since you brought such incredible...
love and joy to our family?
We are so proud of the lady you are becoming!
Dream big, sweet girl.
We love you more than you can know...
...and look forward to many more birthdays that celebrate wonderful you!

As promised...

Here are more photos from the beautiful spring day that we were blessed with yesterday.

We walked down the street to TTT&B's house...
where we soaked up some rays,
happily laughed with the baby,
ate popsicles*,
rode scooters,
played with sidewalk chalk,
took lots of pictures of a certain 6 month old,

and even (yes, really!) played in the snow that was left from Saturday's storm.
This little lady should really know better than to come after her mama with a snowball...
the things her daddy teaches her!
I just love hanging out with these ladies*!
*Thanks to aunt T for lending some of her photos!
(and for spending the afternoon with us!)
