Sparkle brought home her school notebook last week. She's been drawing in it faithfully during her free time all year. There were many drawings of flowers and rainbows and hearts... her usual. But there were also unexpected drawings. Drawings that filled my heart with joy to know that my little lady was contemplating such things during her school day. Things like Jesus dying for our sins:
Baptism:
And holding hands with God:
And then there was this:
(A bloody monster, and a pretty darn good one at that!)
Innocent as her drawing was, seeing it reminded me that ours is no longer the only influence on her budding mind. What a great reminder to be in daily prayer not only for the souls of my little ladies, but for their hearts and minds as well.
I'm not sure I'm ready to step into this next realm of parenting.

I love God's goatee! Or is that a Fu-Man-Chu? Either way, that is SO cool!
Wow. Wonderful artwork that shows a heart of pure gold. Did you get the back story on the bloody monster picture? It looks like quite a lot going on there. Thanks for sharing, it is fun to see what Ava is doing!
