My wrist is still giving me difficulties and I've come to the realization that it needs more time (and possibly more surgery) to heal. I haven't worked since July and with our probable relocation in May, we decided that the likelihood that I would be returning to work was low. I drove up to the children's hospital yesterday and turned in my badge and medication key. It felt good to clean out my box and get rid of all the papers that I'd been holding on to "just in case," but I was sad to walk past the NICU and infant units (my favorites) and realize that I would likely never set foot in them again...
I'm officially a stay at home mom! No more missed bedtimes or mornings for me!

Have I mentioned that your kids are adorable? :)
Good luck with your wrist. :-( Will you be able to keep your nursing license for a while even if you don't work? It may not even matter, I am just curious. I'm happy for you and the kids - how lucky they are to have you all to themselves from now on!
