Covered...
... in paint!
My mom is visiting. We're making a mess and having too much fun to blog (not that blogging isn't fun!). Will post pictures later. :)

Backfire
I cleaned out my closet today and got the last of the maternity shirts off of my hangers. While hanging up the clothes that had been thrown on the top shelf over eight (!) months ago when we first moved in, I came across a pair of jeans that were a size... well, a size that I wore a couple of kids ago. I had forgotten that I even had them. On a whim, I tried them on. They buttoned, but barely. I decided to leave them on for the day. After all, where's the motivation in an elastic waistband?
I'm pretty sure that I ate more cookies and handfuls of m&m's out of depression that my pants didn't fit than I would have if I'd worn my sweats and didn't think about it.
Oh well. Straight from my lips to her thighs, right?
Seriously, you should see her thighs!

Her first
Sparkle: Mommy, I made you a present at school today!
Me: You did? Thanks sweetheart!
Me: Oh, did you make this for someone else first?
Sparkle: Yeah, I made it for Dominic,
but he didn't want it. So I thought of you.

Fun at Science City!
We spent some fun time in Downtown KC over the weekend
while our family was visiting:
Aunt R and Cousin N try out the sky bike!
Making clouds:
I see a shotgun in our future...
hanging over the front door, that is.
Goodness, these girls are just adorable!
Getting tired:
Thank goodness T&T can always cheer her up!

This picture really cracks me up.
This is Sparkle when I told her that
she isn't allowed to date until she's thirty:
(Just kidding! It's actually her best mug shot face.)
The light walking through Union Station was beautiful. Unfortunately, Sunny was having a hard time being pleasant since she didn't have a nap. We snapped a few photos and I made plans to return in the future for more!
Thanks again for visiting guys... we had a blast!

Creative License
I've been really impressed this past week that Sunny (age 2 and a half) seems to have picked up on the books-of-the-new-testament song that Sparkle had to learn for AWANA. I marveled as she sang the books accurately all the way up to "First and Second The-suh-luh-luh-lun-eons", hit Titus, Hebrews and James, and finished up with Jude and "Relevation".
Then I heard her start the song over again and realized that she isn't so accurate as I had thought:
"Mary-Mack, Luke and John..."
I wonder if Jesus ever had silver buttons, buttons, buttons all down his back, back, back?

Accessorizing...
No one notices your spit stained clothes, frizzy hair,
or lack of makeup when you're wearing one of these...
Right?
