I've been trying to post these photos for a couple of days now, but Blogger and I weren't getting along very well. Our issues seem to be resolved now, so here we go...
The girls started taking dance lessons six weeks ago and on Saturday they had their first dance performance at a show to raise money for the Susan G. Komen foundation.
Sparkle dressed as a "celebrity," which was a little difficult for me to wrap my head around, but I think we pulled it off.
I had told her that she could wear make-up that night and she reminded me of my promise just before we walked out the door. I slapped some eye-shadow, lipstick, and mascara on her and regretted it almost immediately. WAY too grown up for my six year old. She loved it, of course.
I'm still nursing a wound inflicted by the curling iron that night, but she was worth it.
Sunny and the rest of her preschool friends dressed in 80's garb for their "Maniac" performance.
It was HOT and muggy and there were plenty of bugs in the grass. Sunny made sure that everyone got a bug repellent wipe.
Daddy got to join us for the performance and was a huge help in making sure that Sevvy didn't eat too much grass while I took video and pictures.
Did I mention it was hot?
